i saw this quote over on apparatus' site [whole 'nother blog post about their amazing work coming soon] and thought to myself, "wow." if you are a creative person and can't relate to this, well then, we are not friends. 

my boyfriend and i listen to this american life at least two times a week before bed. if you aren't familiar, please do yourself a favor and download the iphone app and start catching yourself up. 

as kev says, "ira glass is my boy." and now even more so.

I stumbled upon your blog searching about the Casino Club in Chicago, working on some floral arrangements for an event there in April. I'm a jill-of-all-trades sort of designer - graphics, interiors, lighting/object/furniture design, painting, etc. I'm trying to find my creative place and explore the world in the process...as my motivation I have the words/statement about beginners taped to my bathroom mirror, so every morning I remind myself to try, try, try again and in order to become great.
